There’s a king bed, pull-out sofa, full kitchen with gas range and dishwasher, in-unit washer/dryer, and a dedicated desk area. Skylights and large windows bring in natural light, and the space is styled to feel simple, clean, and welcoming.
Outside, a 4-person barrel sauna and cold plunge tub are tucked along a stone path—perfect for a refreshing start or relaxing end to the day. Guests have use of the sauna daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., offering ample time to enjoy this unique feature in a peaceful garden setting.
The gardens surrounding the home are expansive and mature, with layered greenery, flowering shrubs, and gravel walkways—all professionally designed by Sarah J. Meyer Design to complement the timeless charm of the Cape Cod–inspired architecture.

Guest Access:
Guests have exclusive access to the entire upstairs guest suite, which is located above the detached garage and features a private exterior entrance. There are no shared spaces with the main house. You’ll also have private use of the outdoor 4-person barrel sauna and cold plunge, available daily between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Free parking is available across the street in front of the vacant lot.
The Neighborhood:
Located in a quiet, well-established neighborhood just minutes from downtown Vancouver. Enjoy nearby parks, trails, local restaurants, and the Columbia River waterfront. Burnt Bridge Creek Trail is close by for walking or biking. PDX Airport is under 15 minutes away, and downtown Portland is just across the river for easy access to everything the metro area has to offer.
Getting Around:
The suite is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Vancouver and about 10 minutes from PDX Airport. A car is recommended for exploring the area, but rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available. Downtown Portland is a quick drive across the river, and you’ll find grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants all within a 5–10 minute drive. Free parking is available on-site for one vehicle.

The property is gated. Please provide your estimated arrival time in advance so we can ensure the main gate is open for you at check-in. As lovely as the pictures were of this delightful studio apartment, they didn't capture the warmth of all the extra touches the hosts had left there. We have stayed at VRBOs all over America and this one was the cleanest and most thoughtfully provisioned of any we have stayed in. Everything in the unit was high end. The hosts were very responsive and quite timely. The kitchen was well supplied, the bed and linens very nice, great shower, We hope to be able to stay there when we return.
