1 BR Downtown Pittsburgh with Best Roof Top View

We had picked the apartment for a stopover on our way from KY to NYC because we wanted to stay in the downtown area and be able to do some laundry. The 1BR is generally as shown in the photos and described. However we could not really enjoy it or use it much except for a night of sleep and laundry (which both worked out well) because our arrival was much delayed due to severe weather warnings on our trip through OH and WV. Thus, we arrived very late and unfortunately, we had first some issues entering the apartment because the exact mechanism of the apartment door lock was unclear to us (the building door was no problem). However, the host had stayed up late and communicated with us through the booking.com APP and we finally got in. If the instructions are a bit clarified, this should not present any issue for anybody because once you understand the mechanism, it works fine. We were a bit disappointed that the sleeping couch was not ready for our kids as booked and that we had to look for sheets and linen throughout the apartment. If it would not have been so late, the host would have sent the cleaner to take care of it but at that point we did it on our own. Unfortunately, we forgot to check-out the roof-top view as we walked trough the downtown area before we had to move on to NYC, thus I cannot comment on it. The apartment itself has windows to the neighboring building. The recommended parking garage was a good spot close by and easy to use. The location is great to explore the downtown area during the day and in the evening. We wanted to move the dates of our booked night a few days before arrival and the host kindly made this easily possible (depends an availability, I guess). Thanks for that.

That we arrived so late due to severe weather, had initial problems with the door lock of the apartment and the sleeping couch was not prepared. As our host tried to help a lot, I am sure he will improve preparatory processes for anybody who follows (except for the weather, of course ;).

Great location and plenty of space

Bed wasn’t made upon arrival and no towels. Key wouldn’t open door when we got there. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher and floors had crumbs all over it.

Great location. Walkable neighborhood. Very urban. Close to many activities. Overnight parking two blocks away. Staff was engaged throughout and made me feel important Rooftop penthouse awesome (see picture)

The location was perfect -- just a couple blocks from the conference hotel (and convention center) with plenty of restaurants and bars within a few blocks. The apartment was quite spacious and well equipped. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Overall a great stay and I would recommend it, especially at the very reasonable price point. A great value!

The wifi was inconsistent, which was a bit of a problem for me as I was in Pittsburgh for work. The place was well equipped but didn't have the "extras" that some of the very best self-catered apartments have (e.g., there was only one thin bath towel provided; the water glasses were plastic). But these were minor inconveniences.
