Arenal Dreams House

I really liked that the property feels very private. It has a nice outdoor seating area with beautiful lighting, which creates a really cozy atmosphere in the evenings. The house is smaller and has more of a cottage vibe — it’s not luxury, but you definitely get what you pay for, and it’s super comfortable, especially for small families. We traveled with two kids, including a newborn, and we absolutely loved it. The kitchen is very well equipped — you have everything you need, even a blender, plenty of glasses, cutlery, and all essentials. Everything was very clean. What I appreciated the most, though, were the people managing the property. It’s a family who lives just across the street, and they are incredibly kind and helpful. Anything we needed, they brought right away — even batteries — and they surprised us with banana bread for the kids. They were so warm and welcoming, and I honestly just wish we spoke better Spanish so we could talk to them more. They really deserve a lot of credit.

Honestly, everything was great. The only small thing I would suggest is fixing one of the window nets. That said, it didn’t affect our stay at all since we mostly used the AC and didn’t need to open the windows.

The location of the house is in the country side about 10 mins away from LaFortuna, away from the city noise! Beautiful views from all windows. Amazing porch area with large dining table was usable even when it was raining. The house is very clean. The A/C in both bedrooms kept our bedrooms very cool! Very well equipped kitchen . Both bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and soaps. Mosquito spray and sunscreen were both available for our use.the hostess Kristel was prompt answering any questions we had and ready to help out at any point in time.

A fan on the main floor would be useful on hot days. The roads are quite rough getting there. A vehicle is necessary to get to the house and to visit any attractions in the surrounding area. A small SUV is sufficient.

Todo. Primero agradecer a Kristel y su marido la amabilidad que tuvieron con nosotros. Sin contar sus postres riquísimos que probamos. El barrio es súper tranquilo y a 10 minutos en auto de la Fortuna. La casa está súper equipada y con todas las comodidades. El camino para llegar es seguro (un poco sinuoso) . Bajando a pie descubrimos una plantación de papayas y un montecito para hacer senderismo. Los vecinos son muy amables y es una zona súper tranquila pero a la vez bastante cerca del centro. Camas cómodas, baños limpios, cocina equipada. Buen wifi. Lindo lugar para está afuera disfrutando de una buena parrilla. Nos encantó!!

The house was great. Loved the space in the back. The A/Cs worked really well. Two full bathrooms. Host was attentive.

The road to get there is pretty rough. Glad to have had a rental car for it. The initial GPS sent was wrong.
