This recently updated family-owned property is a retreat from the hustle of busy streets, beaches and mega-resorts. The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean.Having the hosts downstairs is an added bonus--good conversation, tips for getting around, breakfast (small extra ) if desired. Their big ole dog has quite the personality. He quickly warms up to guests after a day or two. He does not go upstairs; he keeps to himself in a corner or inside the house. Distance (walking) to Old Town is roughly 45 minutes. Public transportation is around the corner, the sport stadium has a track, courts, fitness equipment. There are plenty coffee shops nearby--you'll feel right at home after you realize you are paying the same for a bagel and iced coffee as you would pay at home :).No rosters, no night clubs, no late night restaurants nearby, but there are pets (dogs). They bark somewhat, but most noise seemed to magically cease at 11pm. The house is on a cul de sac, so there's no cars zooming or booming back and forth all the time.This is the spot if you want to stretch out, avoid the frenzy, plus enjoy calm and educated conversation while feeling completely safe.
