About this house rental
Our newly remodeled three bedroom house, with high speed internet and AC, sleeps six with one queen bed and four twin beds. There are two full bathrooms & fully equipped kitchen.
WE ACCEPT SAME DAY, LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS! REACH OUT AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMODATE YOU!
We are conveniently located in north east Cumberland, MD, 4 miles from Interstate 68, and Rt. 220, restaurants & shopping.
The Villa, 2.4 miles away
Rocky Gap Resort, Casino, Golf & Lake, 4 miles away
C & O Canal, Western MD scenic railroad, 8 miles away
Great Allegheny Passage trail, 8 miles away
When booking please do the following so we can accept reservation quickly:
1. We'd love to know what brings you to beautiful western Maryland
2. Confirm all guest will respect our simple house rules
3. Please turn app notifications on so host can text with you briefly before booking is accepted (host only has a few hours to either accept of decline booking so please be available to communicate)
We are excited for you to come relax and feel at home on this unique property which backs up to 70,000 acres of peaceful forest filled with wildlife.
Our mountain home provides:
- a cozy three bedroom, one level house with 2 full bathrooms and full kitchen
- 1 queen bed, 4 twin beds
- a front yard, covered porch, back deck and grill
- free high speed internet and large Roku TV
- AC for summertime
**House rules and policies:
- Check in with property manager must be scheduled between 4-8 pm.; check out is by 10am.
- Currently children are welcome and must be with an adult at all times; rental is not child proof, please provide ages of children when inquiring.
- Due to allergy concerns animals are not allowed
- Maximum number of guest is 6, regardless of age, ID of all adult guest needed at or before check in for key code to be obtained. If this is not done then booking may be cancelled by VRBO with no refund to guest or charge to host
- Past the deck and all woods surrounding rental are off limit to guest.
- Only those on reservation and guest vehicles (2 max unless approved) are allowed to enter property, driveway and house during stay.
- Please do not take any of the inside house furniture outside for any reason.
- Please refrain from loud noise, smoking/vaping, operating hand tools, charging vehicles, drugs, glitter, parties or reunions.
- Park near house parking sign or along side the rental house
Occasionally, during the day you may hear lawnmowers, machinery, hunting, dirt bike riding or caretaker tending to wood stove or utilities in basement should the need arise.
**Guest failure to respect house rules and policies may result in cancellation of reservation by VRBO with no refund to guest or charge to host, a fee, or both. Thank you for your consideration.

The place was spotless and very comfortable. We attended a wedding at the Villa nearby, and the location was perfect! Because of the seclusion of the property, the hosts have had bad experiences with guests in the past and are a little more uptight than past experiences with VRBO, but they were very nice and accommodating nonetheless. Several other people live/work on the property and there are lots of restrictions on where you can and can’t go, so you don’t have a true free rein as we expected in the mountains. Overall, our experience was comfortable, and we’d stay there again.

The house was incredibly clean and the owner very friendly. Great communication. They do have strict property rules, but they were flexible and accommodating when I asked to add someone to the reservation last minute. We got to see a group of wild turkeys roaming the property in the morning and it was a great location for exploring the local area and state park! Would absolutely love the chance to stay again.
