Il Golfo delle Sirene

The location was great. Contact with Marco was initially good with him sending a video of how to access the building and where to locate the keys to the apartment. Air conditioning was good, although it's only in the living area which meant you had to sleep with the bedroom doors open (it was in the mid 30 degrees when we stayed). It was great to have a washing machine.

The toilet seat was broken, I notified Marco immediately and he said he already knew but didn't have time to replace it. The beds are uncomfortable and pillows so thin that they are practically none existent. There are no extra pillows and when I contacted Marco and asked for some more he said he would drop some around the following day. I then didn't hear from him for 4 days, at which point he said he didn't have any spares. The sofa is really uncomfortable also. Even though there is a kitchen and pans, you cant prepare food as there are no chopping boards or sharp knives. I had to try and slice tomatoes with an ordinary standard dining knife. The windows don't lock properly which means that you have to leave the shutters down when you fo out as it's a security risk. I would say that this property is suitable for a weekend but not 7 days with a family.

The apartment looks very good, everything is working, an equipped kitchen and some bathroom items to survive during the stay.

Both beds weren't comfortable. The mattress seems to be quite worn yet. And the apartment is incredibly noisy, due to the stress around and the eco from the hall. This didn't change the evaluation of the apartment, but just take that into consideration if you struggle while sleeping.

Great location: the apartment is in a central and lively area of Salerno, close to the city center and the Lungomare. The apartment was clean and had a good division of spaces. The owner was friendly and always answered our questions. The bathroom was nice and clean, with all the necessary equipment. Good heating.

The kitchen's equipement could have been better and the shower was uncomfortable. Everything else was good.
