The location was great. a short drive to Crocodile Gate in the Kruger . Shops nearby. Wonderful surrounds, the game that visit is a huge plus and sitting outside when braaiing is everso peaceful.

The kitchen is full of incredible appliances but not what we would use on holiday. There was no microwave, no dish to put meat in once cooked on the braai! We only had one dishcloth for a week. There obviously was no check done on the house before we arrived as on arrival there was no hot water and we couldn't use the gas hob. There were no staff on site so the braai ashes were never removed and this was a first for us - we are both pensioners and elderly and to have to see to this after an exciting day in the park was unacceptable and disappointing as we have never experienced this before in any of the houses we've stayed in, in Marloth Park and elsewhere. There was also nothing to light the fire with - We've always had a fire lighter or even a box of matches in previous rentals. The patio was full of leaves and fire ash, from the third day, as there must have been a large bush fire elsewhere so we had to clean it ourselves whilst on holiday! The light on the patio, above the table and chairs did not work from day one and we would have loved to sit there watching the animals, eating and playing cards. On asking the host if he could please organise for someone to put in a new bulb his response was "I won't be able to get the bulb changed as I am not around the area and will only change it next week. My apologies for that" I'm afraid we found that unacceptable as we were paying more than enough for a friend or electrician or?? to do this. In the details we were sent prior to our holiday, I would also like to say that there was no mention of accessibility to the main bedroom which was up a steep spiral staircase and not suitable for the elderly so we thankfully were able to use the second bedroom downstairs. I had also had a recent operation on my foot and was unable to use stairs. Although the details given mentioned a flat screen TV it did not say there was in actual fact no tv only DVD's were able to be used.
