The forest hill cafe&homestays Chiangmai

Nice setting in the forest. Very quiet resort. Rooms are individual "granny flat" or bungalow style buildings. There is an awesome market down the road and some interesting local temples I'm sure many foreigners don't see within walking distance. The area is a bit of a maze, so it was fun to explore around on foot. Google Maps will lead you down a few dead ends, so just be aware! I stayed here for its proximity to the Honda Safety Riding park, which I was attending to do my motorcycle licence over three days. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't stay this far out of town without transport – though next time I will have a motorbike!

The restaurant never seemed to be operational, though I didn't ask. Can be tricky getting ride shares in the area and I had one cancel my order because they "could not get a return customer to the city" from there. I actually changed hotels to one in the town centre to ensure I could catch my early bus for Chiang Rai. But that was fine.

It's isolated. There were no malls around. It was quiet. There is a pool. The Thai staff were very nice.

One of the staff surprizingly could not speak Thai. And his policies did not align with the staff who could speak Thai.

Very clean and spacious room. Nice grounds. The Thai food i had onsite was delicious: Tasty and presented beautifully.

Absolut schöne ruhige Lage in schöner Anlage. Mit dem Roller sind es 20min in die Stadt.

Roller kann vor Ort nicht gemietet werden. In 5 Tagen leider keine frischen Handtücher bekommen und niemand hat den Mülleimer geleert. Zum Frühstück sind wir in die Stadt gefahren, weil es in der Unterkunft nicht wirklich köstlich war. Weiter hatten wir gemäß Bilder der Unterkuft erwartet in in Holzhaus zu kommen, landeten aber in einem Betonhaus.
