The aparment itself was fine, with all of the essentials provided. Secure building and unit. Nice spacious size and a wonderful balcony overlooking the street. The location is excellent, a short distance from old town and very close to the beach. The owner and local contact were easy to communicate with. If we visited Santa Marta again, we would stay here again.
This is NOT within the hosts control, just our observation. We are not sure if the infrastructure is malfunctioning or the area development has overwhelmed the sewers as there was daily afternoon sewer overflow onto the streets near the beach.(Over a block away) Unfortunately this made any of the restaurants in the area of the smell off limits for us.(There are many other restaurants within walking distance)
