The room was not up to standard. The toilet leaked and smelled, and we asked if we could change rooms. They showed us another room, which we said we would take (since the toilet didn't smell), but then they said all the toilets in the hotel smelled, so we couldn't change. Then they sent someone to repair the toilet (strange given that they said all the toilets smelled), and although it was better than before, it still smelled. The room was badly laid out. The only hanging space for clothes was in the bathroom (!), and there were no drawers or shelves for clothes. There was also no safe. We asked for a safe, but it never came. The window had blinds that didn't fit properly, and one of them fell down, requiring repair. The fridge door in the small kitchen area didn't close properly. Also, there were building works on our floor as most of the rooms were being refurbished. As a result, it was extremely noisy during the day, there was often building debris left outside our room, and the hallway carpets were covered in plastic throughout our stay.
