Guilin Camphor Country House Free pick-up service at train station for two nights

This guesthouse features a spacious independent house shared with the owner, located at the entrance of a small village by the mountains. Our family was upgraded for free to a second-floor suite with a balcony overlooking a 700-year-old camphor tree. The entire building is clean, tidy, and hygienic. The view from the room is beautiful, and although the owner wasn't back, the open kitchen in the lobby was convenient for relaxation, equipped with a refrigerator, coffee machine, and kettle. It felt very private, quiet, and convenient for our family. We also had access to the third-floor living room, which overlooks the 700-year-old camphor tree, providing a thoughtful and inspiring atmosphere. The living room connects to a terrace where the scenery is delightful and even serves as a great spot for practicing yoga. This guesthouse is part of the nearby Heshe Lakeside Resort, and the owner's wife invited us to explore the mountainside garden of the resort. The garden is beautifully maintained, perfect for enjoying tea, reading, or just doing nothing looking up at sky, cloud and treea, as well as for letting children swing in the garden. The guesthouse met our family's need for a peaceful vacation while also being convenient for exploring the main attractions in Guilin. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the famous Reed Flute Cave. A taxi ride to the city center takes just 20 minutes, where we could see Guilin's iconic Elephant Trunk Hill, stroll along the Li River, visit the Liberation Bridge, and explore the Jingjiang Princes' Mansion. Living in Hong Kong, we found this tranquil little mountain village a refreshing change from the bustling metropolis, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy ourselves. The owner’s wife was very hospitable, inviting us to come back and enjoy tea and drinks with the owner, making us feel even more at home.

Wow. Life changing experience. I booked a hotel and ended up with family in Guilin. Michele, JiaJia, Sisters, Grandpa… all feel like family now. The rooms were beautifully located with stunning views. Clean, cool, comfortable. The food was out of this world. I crave Guilin noodles every morning now! And nobody makes them like grandpa! JiaJia took us everywhere we could ever want to go to take in the whole city in just a few days. They were patient and kind with our needs. They spent time with us making dumplings one night which was one of the highlights of the trip! You aren’t just booking a hotel. You are getting to experience Guilin like a local.

We also enjoyed the serene third-floor living room and terrace, where you can have stunning views and a great spot for yoga or private time. The guesthouse is connected to the nearby Heshe Lakeside Resort, and the owner of this hotel is very kind and she invites us to visit her beautiful mountainside garden! A lovely place to enjoy tea, read and chill. The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to Reed Flute Cave and a 20-minute taxi ride to downtown Guilin, including Elephant Trunk Hill and the Li River. We really enjoy the hospitality by the hotel and it is definitely a great place to recharge your energy, especially coming from a busy city like Hong Kong! The hotel owner and staff are so sweet, warm and welcoming, they treat us like a family. We look forward to returning!
