I stayed at Casa Giolù in mid-May and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The location is excellent, situated just a few steps from Via Vittorio Emmanuele II, making it easy to explore the city on foot. For groceries, SuperConveniente is only about a 13-minute walk away, while several small bodegas can be found even closer. Another advantage was the room's location on the second floor, away from street level while still remaining convenient to access. The room was well equipped and thoughtfully designed. The modern bathroom featured a shower, sink, toilet and bidet all in good condition. I especially appreciated the open wardrobe, which offered hangers and drawers. The bed was super comfortable, large and supportive, ensuring a great night's sleep. I also didn't need to use the air conditioning during my stay, as the apartment remained pleasantly cool. Once the drapes were opened, the room received plenty of natural light. I felt safe both inside the apartment and in the surrounding neighborhood. The building itself is very charming and well preserved, with attractive traditional windows and doors that add character. The host was friendly, helpful and quick to respond. If I ever return to Catania, I would definitely consider staying here again. 😄

The only drawbacks were related to cleanliness and ventilation. The kitchen could have been cleaned more thoroughly. However I didn't even use the kitchen for cooking at all, relying only on the fridge for storage and the sink. In addition, ventilation in the apartment could be improved. Whenever I returned after being away for several hours, there was often a noticeable stable or unpleasant smell in the room, and I needed to open the windows to air it out.

A anfitriã, ela um amor de pessoa , super solicita , e muito educada ..Da facilidade de manter tudo limpo e organizado, os eletrodomésticos, o fogão de indução , super prático! São até mais barato cozinhar , já q tem mercado próximo , do q comer fora todo dia .. eu gostei da localização também , não é um lugar 5 estrelas , assusta a primeira vista , mas vc se acostuma e depois até sente saudades rs está próxima ao centro histórico, emfim , amei a casa !!!
