About this apartment rental
For years, I have been committed to protecting the cultural and landscape heritage of the Syracuse area. I am interested in promoting access to Syracuse’s numerous monumental and natural attractions, highlighting its unique features
The property is located near the Umbertina district and just a short walk from the island of Ortigia. It evokes the atmosphere of the ancient village, with its characteristic narrow streets. Situated in an old residential neighborhood, adjacent to the decommissioned Syracuse Maritime Station, it offers a partial view of the Porto Grande. A large green area encompasses the city’s ancient agora, known as the “forum” in Roman times. Neapolis, with its archaeological site—a prime location for classical performances—is easily accessible; the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime and the Paolo Orsi Archaeological Museum are 1.5 km away. Ortigia is just a 10-minute walk away. A convenient bus stop is located just 30 meters away, with direct service not only to Ortigia but also to other major tourist attractions, including the suburban beach areas. The train and bus terminal is 500 meters away. The area is home to numerous bars, restaurants, and supermarkets.
