< 1 Mi to Sea! Family & Pet-Friendly Galveston Gem

We loved the location. It’s in an amazing spot to get to everything. Very Quiet house.

Nothing I loved everything about it.

When we arrived all of the beds had little towel animals, which was quite a thoughtful gesture. The host/homeowner provided beach towels and chairs for us to borrow. This was a great convenience because we seemed to never have enough beach towels. The host/ homeowner responded to an after hours text about the WiFi very promptly and graciously.

The property manager was not helpful and unprofessional. She was slow to respond, if at all. I had to bother the host/homeowner twice and my understanding is that’s what the property manager is for. The only issue with the property physically was that one of the toilets did not flush, but we just avoided using it during our stay. Bring your own seasonings! They only had salt and pepper, but there are quite a few grocery stores within a five minute drive.

The home was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay.

The proximity to town was amazing! So many locations to eat and close to the beach! As well the a/c was amazing and kept the house cool and comfortable. Extra towels were great for our big family as well! There were also extra necessities for going to the beach that really helped, such as an umbrella and chairs that we did not have that made our beach days very convenient!

The main room said that there was a queen bed but was a full. As well when it rained the windows by the bed in the main room flooded. I sent a text and never got a response. There was only one working tv in the living room that u could not turn the volume up on. And the house seemed to lean and have what I would call some weak feeling spots in the kitchen floor. With the full bed downstairs tho it was smaller then we would have liked it was comfy, but the kids all said the beds upstairs were a bit hard. There were also no curtains in the extra room upstairs leading to the patio so we pretty much stayed clear of that room at night. Lastly not so much an issue for the home owner but they started construction literally right outside the home at like 7am and was brutal to try to sleep through after memorial day.
