4BR 2BA House Nestled in a Quiet Spot in Dickson

The house was very comfortable for 7 of us. Comfortable beds & lounge chairs. Great kitchen well stocked with utensils etc. Close to shops & transport. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Convenient location, not too far to shops and many asian restaurants. Cosy house, ample space with two outdoor areas. Nice lounge and furniture. There's an off street carpark. It was freezing cold outside during our stay and the aircon worked well to keep us warm.

The property was adequate for a 2 night stay. Television worked well. Kitchen was good. Location was good and very quiet.

There were numerous concerns with the condition of the property. These were brought to the attention of CanStay. The very late check-in, 4pm was unexpected as the booking form said 3pm. Earlier check-in was offered for an extra fee, $55 which we felt was unacceptable. Late check-out was also offered for $110 per hour. Our feeling was that CanStay was trying to squeeze extra money from us and we didn't appreciate it. The property was a little run down and could use a thorough clean and maintenance check up. Our group visits Canberra a few times each year and we would now avoid properties managed by CanStay as we did not care for their somewhat profiteering attitude. The showers were were awful. The entry door code was hit and miss making it difficult to ensure the door was secure. The lack of a railing at the front door made it difficult for one of our group. Two of the beds were very low and not so comfortable. The inside electrical box was not secure and looked like it had been done by a handyman, not an electrician. This gave us some concerns for it's safety.
