My very heavy suitcase was carried on the back of this petite, strong woman host down a long, brick staircase. I stood there in awe as I watched her take those narrow stairs like a pro. After that arduous task, she served me a cup of hot, homegrown, organic, herbal rosemary tea with a warm smile. This Nepali couple were very warm and kind even though there was a language barrier that couldn't be overcome through Google translate. By day 2, they were even kind enough to bring in a man who spoke English, to assist with my needs. The views from this organic farm are breathtakingly beautiful. My room faced east where the vast hills were in full display. The room itself needed some TLC in the form of cleaning, but my vegan meal was delicious and plentiful, in spite of my food restrictions. The WIFI is good most of the time. While the uphill walk to town was challenging, I was able to do it in about 30 minutes. The people in the area are both friendly, helpful and eager to answer any questions you have.
