Staff were friendly, beds were fairly comfortable and the place was quiet

We stayed as a group using multiple rooms, and there were some serious issues with cleanliness and maintenance - my room's shower curtain was stained and smelled terrible, some of the rooms clearly smelled like they had been smoked in, and one person came away from the room with bug bites, possibly bed bugs. The rooms were also far too hot - we had to change one of the rooms since it was at least 30 degrees when we walked in, the air conditioning didn't work and staff wouldn't open the windows, which is strange given my window couldn't close. Worth paying a bit extra to avoid this.

Worst place ever

There was nothing that I liked about staying here

Firstly the car park was extremely loaded with rubbish. Literally something you'd see in an apocalypse movie. Abandoned and dodgy looking. And your expected to pay for parking. The front doors and intercom all broken and smashed up. When the lift eventually came down it was noisy dodgy thought the cable was gonna snap. Get to the room and the heating/Aircon was not operational, couldn't open the window because handle was snapped off. Stains on the bedding. Mattress lumpy. Blood on the wall and graffiti. More blood on the carpet. Other stains on the wall. Someone had carved the TV up with a knife, the shower didn't work, there was no hot water. Horrible place to stay. Also stinks of weed and police in and out constantly.

The location, parking, staff and room were ok. Room was even warm, with a good sound isolation. Receptionist was smiling, nice.

They weren’t cleaning their corridors, unfortunately, the mirrors in the bathroom also weren’t clean.

absolute waste of time and money.

The reception was locked up with nobody in sight and chairs blocking the doorway. After walking all the way around the exterior of the hotel I decided to ring the helpline provided by booking.com which didn't even ring. After a google search I found a number for the property, when I rang they asked if they could put me on hold, where they left me for 15 minutes. I then put the phone down and rang again and was put on hold for a further 10 minutes. In the end I had to book a room at another hotel.

Dated and dirty, where to start!! When arrived staff very short with you. Entrance and lift dirty. Landings dirty rubbish lying around. Room was a good size, however bed sofa was filthy so unable to air in it. Bed was clean but mattress too soft one towels for one person. Shower curtain mouldy and shower itself was dirty. Room very hot even with heater turned off but thankfully fan was provided.

Difficult to find as hotel name was not posted correctly. No free parking. The corridor had peculiar smell. WiFi connection was not reliable.

We had to endure it.

The car park was good

The room was not cleaned, their was body fluid stains on the duvet, blood stains on the mattress protector, dried poo on the toilet lid. Stains on the toilet and bathroom floor. Complained to the receptionist and she changed the duvet and took the mattress protector away. There was a framed picture of a child in the room and a pink pill on the shelf.The basin in the second room was blocked. These exposed us to health and safety hazards.

Do not stay here, it is unsafe and should be closed down immediately.

Nothing, left almost immediately. Pictures depicted on booking.com are not a true representation of the property. It was run down and verging on derelict. No heating and should not be operating as a hotel. I didn't expect luxury as was cheap, but this is illegal in my view. We were told the rooms we had booked were not available, the reception staff could not offer an explanation other than it's first come first served even though it was booked and paid for. We were taken to rooms and asked to stand back whilst they checked whether or not they were occupied. The rooms we were taken to was in an unmanned building that had boarded up windows and entrance doors broken. Staff struggled with English and could not help with our concerns. We sought alternative accommodation and the company are unhelpful and unwilling to refund.

The tv was not usable because it couldn’t connect to the internet, the window was open when we arrived so the room was cold, and only after mentioning this to the friendly gentleman on front desk where we notified that the whole hotels central heating had been turned off, but we had 2 radiators so that was okay. There was a few missteps with housekeeping (someone else’s hair was on the shower glass) but otherwise it was very comfortable and clean. The bar and restaurant was open but looked closed? Perhaps putting some glasses and knives and forks on the tables would make it look for inviting. Overall pleasant and easy for 1 night passing through town!

Our room wasnt made up when we opened the door. Had to go back down to get another room. Our Experience during our meal. Also bar does not sell even a glass of wine with meal (no alcohol). Hairdryer did not work (found out after showering). Window did not open.

The hotel is run down, I tried two different rooms, the first stunk of hashish, the second was putrid with cigarette and the beds were terrible. I have literally stayed in better hotels in West Africa.

Basic hotel room

The room was fine, there were complementary towels and toiletries. There was a hairdryer and a kettle, and individual lights for the beds. A fan and a portable radiator were provided.

We weren't given a sea view room even though that's what we had booked. No information booklet in the room. Have to pay for parking. Shower curtain was old and discolored, grouting and rim of shower needed bleaching and a clean. The signage was all still for the Holiday Inn.

Exactly what you’d expect for £40 a night. Good location with easy connections, quite almost eeery in the hotel.

Rubbish left under beds including some gone off salmon and apple what my dog found. Window wasn’t fully closed so wind was whistling all night wich was a mixed bag because my partner enjoyed the soothing sounds of wind try to get through a crack in the unsealed window. A Kettle but no tea bags given or available on request. Hair dryer got hot but didn’t blow fan, started smelling of melted plastic immediately. No bar for drinks or refreshments.

The location was fairly good

The staff weee very unhelpful We saw the cleaner but tbh they could have hoovered under the bed & the leg snapped off when I sat in the bed haha The noise, something continually banging. The seals of the window were goosed so wind was howling in. Seemed like it was potentially a place for immigrants to stay, there was a few people around the lobby’s. It just felt a bit shadey tbh
