O lagar 2 bedroom apartment

The photos don’t do this apartment any justice. The apartment is very big, the veranda is massive and the patio on the back which has the bbq area is also big!! There’s straighteners for hair, hairdryers, two coffee machines.. tbh the list is endless and we felt fully equipped for eating in cooking espetada to having endless cleaning essentials or bathroom/bedroom essentials!! Our host, she was lovely and spoke brilliant English & Portuguese of course! The owner on hand in seconds via WhatsApp as well. We came as I am half Portuguese & my family is from Madeira, this very area so for the location I know it well. Nico’s burger has shut down so only the O’Lagar restaurant is close by, but it’s a very short walk to local non-tourist cafes & pizza restaurant Restaurant Pizzaria Má Fama (3 min downhill & underneath subway) supermarket is a further few minutes walk downhill from there, but it’s the uphill back to the apartment that may kill you haha jokes! Get a bolt for €2 from these locations back to the apartment. Bus stops are where the cafe is to Funchal or harbour €2.20 an adult. Bolt is used cheapest than uber!! Didn’t hear any surrounding noise or dogs which is normal for Madeira! I would def return here!

As we were out from the morning till evening I’m presuming the sun only reaches the terrace midday onwards? In the morning it’s on the back patio where the kitchen is, then it moves & the front is in shade till im guessing after 12. This was the latest we once left there. We were out so it didn’t affect me.
