Geweldig afgelegen plekje

Alles was netjes, verwacht geen luxe maar dat is juist waarom je voor deze plek zou kiezen. Indien je geen water/drinken van het vaste land mee neemt een waterfilter is wel een must. Er is geen supermarkt of iets aanwezig, geweldig toch!!

This homestay was the best of my month travels in Fiji. It is true immersion in local village culture and you immediately develop amazing relationships with everyone there. There is lots of kids who love to play with you, so take that into consideration if you like kids or not haha. Overall I highly recommend. Adi was with us throughout our stay and she and her family were wonderful. Bill and Silo are lovely, very accommodating people, and Silo is a great cook!

Was not a problem for us but take into consideration that the property is quite rustic, with a bucket shower and a bucket to flush the toilet. there is mosquito nets in the rooms which is great. Just for you to know what to expect in your stay. Also the ferry pick up point is barefoot manta. Here are the additional charges you pay throughout your stay here: 35 pp each way for boat transfer to and from the ferry 75 pp per day for meals (breakfast included, 35 lunch, 40 dinner) bring 25-30 fjd worth of kava for sevusevu for the chief, plus a 10pp landing fee These aren’t bad things just stuff i figured out after booking and is nice to know upon booking :)

This is a true Fijian village experience. You’re made to feel like family and everyone in the village is so friendly and welcoming. Soso bay was beautiful and the whole experience was amazing. It’s not luxurious but the bed was comfortable and we were never hungry. The massage’s were great and my son loved the spear fishing and snorkelling too.

I thought the $190 per person transfer was a return trip but it was each way which added $760 to our budget. You have to pay the chief a $10 landing fee and donate a gift of kava root. You need to bring your own water and extra money for activities. Meals are provided at an additional cost. You can bring your own alcohol, if desired. Also bring mozzie repellent.
