Very welcoming family. If you search for a place where you can be a part of an fijian community for some time, this is where you want to be. The food was amazing as well, best I had in Fiji. Also you can do the mantaray snorkeling over there, which was awsome (it’s 70 FJD pp in Oktober 2026). I highly recommend to do it with Bill, he‘s the owner of the place and very chilled. We‘ve been a group of three and we spend about 1 1/2h in the mantachannel. (Compered to the Barefoot Manta resort: you will be groups of about 20 over there and will only spend about 20 minutes in the water for 115 FJD pp). We‘ve been there first and the experience with Bill was way better. Important notice: It’s not an resort, it’s a homestay and you will live as the people in Fiji are used to. You sould be aware of this, otherwise you will be disappointed.

Tai Evi was a highlight of our trip in Fidji. The whole family is so welcoming. You can have a taste of the real life in the village. The food is varied and good. The kids loved it as well! We visited 4 home stays, and this was the one we felt the most authentic. Thank you!

Geweldig afgelegen plekje

Alles was netjes, verwacht geen luxe maar dat is juist waarom je voor deze plek zou kiezen. Indien je geen water/drinken van het vaste land mee neemt een waterfilter is wel een must. Er is geen supermarkt of iets aanwezig, geweldig toch!!

This homestay was the best of my month travels in Fiji. It is true immersion in local village culture and you immediately develop amazing relationships with everyone there. There is lots of kids who love to play with you, so take that into consideration if you like kids or not haha. Overall I highly recommend. Adi was with us throughout our stay and she and her family were wonderful. Bill and Silo are lovely, very accommodating people, and Silo is a great cook!

Was not a problem for us but take into consideration that the property is quite rustic, with a bucket shower and a bucket to flush the toilet. there is mosquito nets in the rooms which is great. Just for you to know what to expect in your stay. Also the ferry pick up point is barefoot manta. Here are the additional charges you pay throughout your stay here: 35 pp each way for boat transfer to and from the ferry 75 pp per day for meals (breakfast included, 35 lunch, 40 dinner) bring 25-30 fjd worth of kava for sevusevu for the chief, plus a 10pp landing fee These aren’t bad things just stuff i figured out after booking and is nice to know upon booking :)
