Tranquil Turquoise Retreat at 206 W Huisache is one of the very few three-

bedroom pool home on South Padre Island with a private saltwater heated pool

and spa. Three king beds, space for up to 12 across three levels, with a gas

BBQ grill, a kitchenette right off the pool deck, and patios on every floor —

including views of the weekend fireworks. Fully fenced backyard, 1.5 blocks to

the beach.

THE SPACE

The layout rewards a group that genuinely wants to spread out. The second

floor is the heart of it — an open-concept living room with a large Smart TV

and an oversized sofa, a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances

and tile counters built for real home-cooked meals, multiple dining areas with

a breakfast bar and a full dining table so the whole group can sit down

together, and a separate wet bar area off the living room with conversational

seating — the right spot for evening cocktails when the kids have claimed the

couch.



High ceilings run throughout, the art is tasteful, and the furnishings were

updated with care. The ground floor has a kitchenette with a small beverage

fridge that opens directly onto the pool deck — a genuinely convenient detail

you appreciate most on day three when nobody wants to walk upstairs for a

refill. The third floor holds the private master suite, elevated and quiet

above the rest of the house.



Central air-conditioning, a private washer and dryer in the unit — no laundry

detergent is provided, so plan to bring your own. Please note that garage

access is not included with this rental.

Add the full-sized pull-out couch, a queen airbed, and two single rollaway

beds and you can arguably have 12 guests across three floors. The layout works

very well for two families who want to share a trip without sharing a floor.



Three stories of living space with covered patios off every level, plus a wet

bar area with conversational seating off the living room for the adults who

need to be somewhere other than the couch. On weekend evenings, the upper

balconies deliver a front-row view of the island fireworks without going

anywhere.



A gas BBQ grill on the outdoor patio with a ground-floor kitchenette just

steps from the pool — everything you need for a cookout without tracking into

the main kitchen. Bring your LP tank and the setup is complete. Prep inside,

grill outside, swim immediately after.



A quiet bayside street ten blocks from the entertainment district — reasonably

close to everything, none of the noise right outside your window. One well-

mannered dog is welcome; contact us before booking to review the pet rules and

we will get you set up.



THE POOL

A saltwater pool is not a marketing headline — it is something you notice the

first afternoon. No chlorine smell on the patio, no red eyes on the kids at

dinner, no skin irritation after a long swim. This is the only three-bedroom

rental in this comparison set offering saltwater, and it shows in every

detail: the turquoise color, the softness of the water, the fact that people

stay in longer than they planned. The spa connects directly to the pool for a

complete backyard oasis.



The yard is fully enclosed, lined by palms, and sized for ample outdoor

seating around the water — the setup for afternoon swims after the beach when

you need somewhere to land a group of 12 without any coordination required.

Pool and spa heating is optional at $25 per day, but must be applied to the

full length of your stay. Consider heating a day prior to arrival as the pool

takes 6 to 8 hours to reach temperature, so factor that into your first-day

plans. If outside air temperatures drop below 60 degrees, heating may not be

adequate regardless of the setting.



THE PATIOS

Three levels, three outdoor spaces — a rare architectural layout for South

Padre Island, where most vacation rentals top out at two floors. The ground

level opens directly onto the pool deck and backyard. The second level has a

sun-soaked lanai off the living room, the kind of covered porch that earns the

most time on a trip because it sits between the air-conditioning and the open

air and does both jobs reasonably well. The third floor offers the most

private and elevated outdoor perch in the house.



On weekend evenings, the upper balconies earn their place in a way no indoor

room can. The island fireworks are visible from up here — a spontaneous show

that turns an ordinary evening into a trip moment without any tickets,

driving, or planning. It just happens, and you are in the right seat for it.



THE BBQ

The gas BBQ grill is set up on the outdoor patio for the cookout evenings that

tend to become the most talked-about nights of a trip. We do not provide the

LP propane tank — bring your own or pick one up at a local hardware store,

both of which are a short drive from the property.



The ground-floor kitchenette is steps away for staging, the pool is right

behind you, and the patio seating handles the whole group. A cookout with 12

people works best when prep, grill, and swim are all within twenty feet of

each other. This setup delivers that.



SLEEPING (Up to 12 Guests)

Master bedroom, third floor: King bed, private, the quietest room in the

house.



Second bedroom: King bed.



Third bedroom: King bed. All three bedrooms have king beds — not a common

arrangement in a home that sleeps 12, and one of the first things guests

mention.



Additional sleeping: one pull-out couch that folds to a full-sized bed in the

living room, a queen-sized airbed, and two single rollaway beds. Plan to bring

your bedding for the pull-out and airbeds — bedding for those surfaces is not

provided though you may stop by our office and we can provide.



Maximum occupancy is 12 guests, and infants count in that number. Worth saying

plainly: this home is most comfortable for 12 guests when children are in the

group — 12 adults is a tighter arrangement, and we want your group to arrive

with accurate expectations. You cannot exceed max occupancy; doing so is

grounds for eviction with no refund.



All bed linens, blankets, bath towels, face towels, and hand towels are

provided for the permanent sleeping surfaces. Starter supplies: dishwasher

pods, trash bags, coffee, filters, creamer, sweetener, basic soaps and

shampoos — starter amounts only, not replenished during your stay.



LOCATION

The Tranquil Turquoise Retreat sits on the bayside of South Padre Island at

206 W Huisache — a quiet, residential pocket of the island roughly ten blocks

from the entertainment district. Beach access is an easy 1.5-block walk. The

tradeoff is intentional and worth it: no bar traffic outside the windows at

midnight, but every restaurant, shop, and attraction on the island is still a

short drive or golf cart ride away.



South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center, Andy Bowie County Park, Beach

Park at Isla Blanca — formerly Schlitterbahn, one of the most recognized

waterparks in Texas — and the South Padre Island Golf Club are all within easy

driving distance. The island dining covers every craving: fresh Gulf seafood,

waterfront bars, beloved breakfast spots, and local favorites that repeat

visitors plan their trips around.



PARKING

Two off-street parking spaces are included at no charge — free, unlike hotels

on South Padre Island that all charge per car. The maximum of two vehicles is

strictly enforced; a golf cart counts as a vehicle toward this limit. Street

parking is not available at this address — vehicles parked on the road will be

towed with no exceptions. Plan your group's vehicle count before arrival. We

do recommend if extra cars consider the South Padre Convention Center or Post

Office



Please note we have multiple homes and or condos you can rent you more than

one. Inquire — we would love to help you out!



High-speed WiFi is included throughout the home; please note that Spectrum

service can be spotty at times, so come prepared with a hotspot on your phone

if you have must-do work as it can go down. As we are on an island, we do not

provide reimbursement or compensation for WiFi or internet outages.



DISCOUNTS — JUST ASK

Reduced rates for off-season stays of four nights or more (September 15 –

December 15), veterans and active military, and current Texas tackle football

coaches (our sons play for Lake Travis in Austin — Go Cavs!). Send a message

before booking and ask.



POLICIES

Primary guest must be 23 or older. Guests under 23 require prior approval

before booking — an additional substantial refundable damage deposit applies

if approved.



Maximum occupancy is 12 guests, infants included. You cannot exceed max

occupancy; violation is grounds for eviction with no refund. Maximum of two

vehicles including golf carts — street parking results in towing, no

exceptions.



One dog is welcome at this property with specific rules — contact us before

booking to review the pet policy and we will be happy to walk you through it.

A pet fee (if approved) of $75 is assessed for additional cleaning.



A signed digital rental agreement and valid photo ID are required before door

codes are released prior to check in. You must read and agree to all house

rules prior to booking — failing to do so is not grounds for a cancellation or

refund.



We are more than happy to answer questions before you book. Strict

cancellation policy applies. No smoking anywhere on the property. No parties.

No loud music at any time. This is a luxury family property — the security

patrol at night enforces this. Check-in is 3 PM, check-out is 11 AM.
