About this house rental
A little history about the house: The Betancourt Bungalow is the beloved home of local artist Joan Betancourt. She bought the house in 1979 and transformed the one-car garage into an art studio, where she created stunning watercolor and acrylic landscapes of Fairhope. Joan taught art both in her studio and at the Fairhope Art Center. Before renovating her home, she painted murals and various scenes on the walls, but sadly they had to be covered up for necessary updates. However, you’ll be delighted to find many of her original works adorning the walls of this charming bungalow. Hand-painted furniture pieces add a touch of whimsy and character, embodying our family’s running joke: "If it doesn’t move, she’ll paint it." This home holds a special place in our hearts, so please treat it as if it were your own... or even better!
