This was a great older house for our visit to Quebec. Everything was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Conveniently located in Quebec so we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go within 15 min or less. There is no AC in the house or fans but we visited in October and didnt need it. The house stayed warm and cozy. We just opened windows if we needed a breeze. Beds were very comfortable. There were 2 towels and 2 washrags left in each bedroom for us. We arrived after dark and missed the driveway when we first arrive. The entrance is on a one way street so we had to make another lap around. I might only leave one friendly, constructive feedback. The front and side windows only had a simple white shade on them each and the back windows had none at all. Some had panel curtains with the shade but you couldnt pull them closed. It makes the house bright in the day, open and light, which is great, but it does let alot of the street lights in at night too and lights up the rooms early in the morning when the sun comes up. It did make it difficult for us to sleep. That is no fault of the owner. We are just used to having our rooms darker when we sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and having such a nice place to stay. We appreciate you allowing us to rent your beautiful home.

This is a really nice place for a family, with a lot of space and a well-appointed kitchen. We were able to eat in comfortably for several meals and lounge around during parts of our days. It was clean and the host was generally responsive. In the summer it was quite warm inside, especially in the sleeping loft upstairs, but with open windows and a fan we were able to be pretty comfortable. Limoilou is a sweet neighborhood and conveniently located to Quebec City highlights, though we were glad to have a car to get around. Thank you for everything!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Some things that could be improved: kitchen lighting inadequate, light switches confusing with multiple light switches with unknown functionality, no real cooking utensils and no sharp knife, the oven would not maintain temperature or broil, the upstairs toilet seat needs securing. Yard vegetation overgrown and gates did not fasten. I would reorient the upstairs bed from the close proximity to the skylight and ceiling. A heads up on the extensive road works around the house and tips for navigation would have been helpful. We came to believe that Quebec uses the same name for many of its streets: Route Barrée. But again, overall the house was functional, clean and good for us and the above comments are knowledge for improvements, we had a wonderful time and the location was great for bike path access and walking to the old city.
