Ninamu Pearl Guest House

Neat and clean property with STUNNING views! We were there immediately after torrential rains had caused a minor landslide, so the pool and hot tub were both closed until repairs could be made. Other than that, it was a perfect 10!

The property is at the top of a mountain. We rented a car and when it was wet, it was a challenge on the last part of the road due to the steepness and the poor road conditions. We arrived at the hotel at 1:30pm. We were yelled at and told our room would not be ready until 3pm and we should have known check in time and should not have arrived before then. We were not welcomed and were shocked at the rude manner of the staff. I had tried to email the day prior to see when a room would be ready and never heard back from the staff. We left and came back in 3 hours. Most of the common area of the hotel has been destroyed/damaged by a recent mudslide. There was only a small portion of sitting area left. The pool and the hot tub were closed. When we finally got our room, it was very nice. We liked the small kitchen that had everything we needed. It was a little odd that there was no way to 100% be inside while in the room. The barn doors to the bathroom/outside wasn't sealed so bugs got into the room. The bathroom was interesting. It did not have any curtain or any type of privacy surrounding the shower. It was just out in the open. There was some hot water when we arrived which was nice. But the next day the showers were cool. They said they use solar heating for the water and the day had been rainy and cloudy so the water was cool. I liked the private pool. It was small but nice to cool off in. Overall it met our needs but pricey for the value.

This place is an absolute gem. The views are spectacular and the staff was super friendly. We got in super late so we did not realize that you needed to tell them if you wanted breakfast by 6:30am because they make only what they expect the number of guests to eat for the cute little buffet. We walked down for breakfast hoping they could tell us where we could eat since we missed the cutoff, but instead they found a way to accommodate us for breakfast. During our brief stay they were also super helpful via the chat in Expedia with everything from how to get to the property to what to do in the airport prior to departing and advise on food for the evening. This place is fantastic.

Receptionist was very helpful. She went out of her way to accommodate us. Would stay there again.
