Main Oak Manor

I loved the classic manor look of the place. It was so beautiful and well taken care of down to every detail. You can tell the owners love that house and put a lot of effort into it. The property is absolutely stunning to view.

We loved the location. It was a short walking distance from the downtown with all the shops, and just a ten minute drive from the TNT mounds. This was a bucket list destination for us to visit the home of Mothman. We also enjoyed an in-room massage, and fresh baked goods and charcuterie. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

We were not aware of the four cats in the residence until our arrival. We are both very allergic to cats.

The hosts, Vicki and Charles, were warm and very engaging. They walked us through our room and the parts of the house we were free to use, explaining every thing to us. Vicki had made oatmeal raisin cookies and encouraged us to help ourselves to them. She was also making a chocolate dump cake that smelled wonderful. She said that it would be out with the cookies when done. She also showed where the ice cream was if we wanted ice cream with the dump cake. My wife is allergic to cats so the hosts took the extra effort to keep their two cats out of areas we most likely will use. We asked for recommendations on places to eat and they ran down the list of options. They highly recommended an Italian restuarant so we went there. It was excellent! The room was spaceous and comfortable leading to a good night sleep. Vicki came to check on us and we ended up having a long, enjoyable conversation about our families. The cookies and dump cake were absolutely delicious!

I aish the shower curtain gave mre space to stand and the shower head was on a hose for flexibilty. The tub was slippery making taking a shower a bit of a scary experience
