Walk to Beach! Family Coastal Retreat in Galveston

Great location. The house had everything we needed.

The house and garden are a little tired and not very well maintained. Grass needs cutting, shed with broken door filled with junk, gardens unkempt. Cupboard doors and drawers don't fit well. Sofa needs shampooing.

Erika was quick to respond all times I reached out (location, toilet issue, WiFi, and the lock battery dying).

Not everyone is meant to have an “Airbnb”….finding the house was pretty difficult when we arrived after dark. Turns out the backyard was shared with other “units” and the porch area with seating wasn’t attached to ours, but to units 1 and 2. Toilet didn’t flush well our first morning, then it ended up overflowing and we had to have maintenance/cleaning come resolve it (semi timely). And we killed 10 flies within the first 12 hrs of being there - I get the heat attracts them but…a fly trap in the window they congregated at wouldn’t hurt - it would’ve saved us a lot of headache trying to kill them our entire stay. Email said WiFi info would be available in the house yet I never found it after looking top to bottom. Stove never got hot enough to boil water, there’s no toaster or spatula, and overall the house and furniture was run down and could’ve really used some tlc.
