This is a three bedroom three bathroom airbnb in a fantastically central language with one large covered loggia with a view to the South and a smaller narrow balcony with a view to the North and the Duomo, etc. It is extremely spacious and the views are great. It is very centrally located in terms of the major tourist attractions (Uffizi, Santa Croce, Palazzo Pitti and Boboli Gardens, Museo Galileo, Bargello). The beds are comfortable. There is a large, separate kitchen and a lounge with a nice view. As you will see from what I write below, I think this flat could be a good value if the price is lower than what I had to pay because I rented it over new year's eve.

Before I get to the below, the check-in experience, I will say a few things about the general state of the flat: the plumbing stinks in two of the three bathrooms, both of which emit very strong odors. This can be a problem in central Florence, but this was quite noticeable. Several of the bathrooms have issues with peeling paint, etc. Most of the plates in the kitchen were dirty and had to be re-washed. The apartment is not very well equipped in terms of glassware and tableware. At this level of rental, there should be a much better set-up. There was a very frustrating early error - I repeatedly informed the property that I wanted to enter at 3, but when the person with the keys showed up at 3:20, the apartment had not been cleaned. It then took two hours to clean the flat - so I was not able to enter until 5:30. The host and manager was very apologetic and the cleaning fee was refunded and the mistake was fixed, but still this is not the way you want to start a trip when you are paying for an extremely expensive apartment (the rates were very high over New Year's eve, when I rented the flat - during normal rental periods when the rates are lower, perhaps a lower standard of service would be more tolerable).
