5 Lakeview Rise

It is a lovely little place, nicely situated. We loved being able to swim daily. The kitchen was well equipped. Good shower. Lovely to have books and games available. We would come again.

When we arrived it was clear to see that the decking had not been cleaned. It was thick with green from the winter, twigs and bird droppings. Also brambles coming through the decking. When we messaged the owner, they said it was because we had only booked the day before and they had not had the time. The inside is lovely, although some things are looking tired. The sofa is uncomfortable, the towels worn thin & bleach stained, Cob webs by bedside/wardrobes & sweet wrapper under the bed. When we opened the bedroom window it was covered in cobwebs, moss & grim, which then fell on the bed. Sadly just in need of a little tlc.

Excellent location, nice pool and lake, enclosed area for the dog.

Poor signage at and off the main road, very big pot holes in the lane to site, not clear where no 5 was, access to keybox difficult, gate to enclosed outside area of No. 5 poorly fitted, decking dirty (including an old fridge in a corner!), access to fridge and crockery unit was difficult (too low), poor internet connection, TV reception poor, difficult to open/close two rooflights in kitchen area as too high, the information booklet in need of updating/tidying up and old brochures need to be disposed of.
