Welcome to House of Pi π aka Lakefront Loft. A one of a kind custom built 34 foot high raised container home overlooking a beautiful southern VT lake with direct lakefront property with your own private dock.
Our spacious home custom designed and built with 8 shipping containers boasts every amenity you want. 3 master bedrooms designed with amazing panoramic views. Bedroom 1 we've nicknamed the glass bedroom with three sides floor to ceiling total glass windows. Bedroom 2 has two large floor to ceiling windows and a 55 inch tv. Bedroom 3 is accessed by the custom made cherry wood spiral staircase. This bedroom has led multi-color changing lights in the ceiling and a sliding glass door to your own private balcony.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with western sunset views. This full kitchen with an 18 foot counter has state of the art appliances, a direct inline Keurig coffee maker (never have to fill the water again!) All utensils including pots, pans, etc., for those big family dinners or late morning breakfasts. Have your meals together on our very cool dining room table made from a shipping container door! Don’t want to eat in the kitchen? Well there are three deck levels allowing for all kinds of dining experiences including a rooftop deck with propane firepit.
The Living Room is a perfect space with a 65 inch FRAME TV and 54 inch built in driftwood log gas fireplace operated by remote control. This perfect space can double by opening the huge accordion style glass doors to your enormous deck space with its own propane firepit. Perfect for drinks, games, and conversation. The house is well stocked with bedding, linens, and includes a washer and dryer. Your comfort is of utmost importance. There is radiant heated flooring as well as mini split units providing AC in every living space.
There are extensive grounds outside the house that include three deck levels ( each with direct piped in propane 40 inch lava rock firepits, hot tub (with heated deck mats in the winter), custom-built cedar sauna and more. Just steps away is Sadawga Lake, where you can fish, kayak, hike, ice skate, or sit near the waterfall and enjoy the sun. Less than a 1/4 mile away is the Harriman Reservoir southern boat launch. There are so many nearby attractions, including skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling (VAST trail down the street), hiking - not to mention numerous shops, restaurants, and breweries.

A beautiful, clean, and cozy stay. The modern space was bright and well-equipped with everything we needed, and the hot tub made it especially relaxing.

Property was definitely unique. Communication was not great. I asked for an early check in and never heard back so we didn’t arrive early. There were tons of bugs when we arrived at 5 pm. A candle or spray would have been helpful.So many bugs we were unable to open windows or go outside. Many of the screens were missing or had holes. It was 93 degrees inside with all the windows and it was not prepared for our arrival. We had to figure out the ac splits which took a lot of trial and error and about an hour of our stay away. Jax was not open for our free lunch or breakfast. Which we understand there was a leak. But it should have been communicated. There is also no phone service in the town. The spiral staircase to the bedroom is tiny and hard to navigate with bags. I do not recommend for the old or children. It was never mentioned in the property description. It was relatively clean, but every drawer and cabinet was full of junk/trash and the windows weren’t very clean. There wasn’t enough seating for 5 of us on any deck but it was ok since there were so many bugs. Also the property isn’t very private for so many windows. The neighbors security light kept going off and on which shown in all the bedrooms all night. The shower faces the road and it’s all glass so for the traffic on the road it was a show. Overall it was enjoyable but the price vs experience was debatable.

Gorgeous views even in March, ample heating/cooling, wonderful host experience, would just recommend bringing paper plates/utensils as we found ourselves running the dishwasher often.
