L'écrin de Chambéry, cœur de centre ville, calme et espace

I found the first really clean Apartement in Chambery :-) very precise description to find the location, key and so on...

more tabs for the washing machine were needed. two more towels would be great (in total 2 big once and 2 small once)

The location is excellent - within walking distance of all main attractions. Clean and homely and quite quirky. It was really hot outside but the fans provided good cool air. Comfortable bed. Good wi-fi.

Nothing.

The location was superb, at the centre of the old town and within easy reach of bistros, museums and other sights. The flat was comfortable, spacious, light, and easy to heat.

On our arrival, the keybox was empty, which was a shock. Sophie from the Hôte des Alpes promptly and efficiently sorted this out, providing us with a substitute key. It seems that the electrician who had been at work in the living room still had the keys, hoping to return next day to collect his tools. We found we had one bath-towel each, one hand towel between us, and a single tea-towel. We therefore assumed that these and the sheets would be changed after seven days, and that whoever did so would do the cleaning, since we had no access to cleaning tools or materials apart from a vacuum-cleaner. On asking by email when the cleaners would arrive, we were told that the property was not serviced like a hotel room, so we would have to do our own washing and cleaning. We were not against this in principle, but a) it hadn't been made clear to us beforehand, and b) we had no means of mopping the floor, etc. On reflection, maybe there were a mop and bucket in the locked cupboard downstairs that we had no key to (perhaps that was on the missing keyring?) but there were definitely no spare towels or bed linen anywhere in the flat. So our original allocation had to last us two weeks. This was inconvenient, but did not spoil our enjoyment.

L’emplacement est top. L’appartement est spacieux et au calme. L’appartement est bien équipé de manière générale. Il y a un rétroprojecteur ce qui peut être sympa.

La deuxième chambre est très petite. La literie de la grande chambre est très inconfortable. Nous étions 4 et il n’y avait qu’un rouleau de papier toilettes pour 3 jours, c’est un peu juste… Odeur très désagréable dans les toilettes.
