Cons: Weekend noise until 2 a.m., constant street noise, mattress issue, no coffee maker or plates, and the area can feel unsafe. From Thursday night—and especially on Fridays and Saturdays—there is extremely loud music and noise from the bars and pubs just across the street. It goes on until around 2 a.m., and you can hear everything even with the windows closed. During the day there’s also constant music and street noise. • The mattress is noticeably sunken in the middle. If you stay right in the center, you don’t feel it much, but as soon as you move to the side you notice the dip, which makes it uncomfortable. • Inside the apartment, there’s no coffee maker and no flat plates—only bowls. • The area is still considered downtown, but slightly away from the main center, with quite a few homeless people around, so you should be careful. Sometimes, you can also hear someone in the building screaming at odd hours, which is unsettling. • A $250 deposit is required before arrival
