Stay Away From This One

Nothing. This property is a sub-level basement property. There is no insulation on the walls. Just concrete block. I visited in early November when it is cold.

Inadequate heat. Areas with no heat like the bathroom and the living room. Exposed wiring and receptacles in the ceiling which is a code violation for a rental property. Host was unhelpful helping me to find house in the middle of the night. Acted like I was bothering him. After figuring pass code without any lighting to illumine the key pad I was met with excessive noise coming from the base floor unit by two female tenants who were singing past midnight when there was supposed to be a strict no excessive noise rule past 10 pm. At 1am the property owner had them comply and keep quiet. The property owner was in denial that anything was wrong with his property. He wanted me to leave after one night and said I would be refunded the other four nights. He said twice on the booking com app that he would contact booking com and provide the amount to be refunded. I reviewed the cancellation policy which would be my losing $426.25 + tax. He has yet to provide the funds to booking com to reimburse me with as of three days past my proposed departure day. He even had the audacity to say that I would not be reimbursed after he had said twice and initially before I left that he would start the refund process by communicating the applicable information to booking com. This property is unfinished and should not be a rental property. It looks like I will be going thru the small claims process if this property owner does not follow through with the refund. He neither wanted to compromise or find an equitable solution to the shortfalls in this property. No hand towels. A mirror just laying up against something. A floor fan that was in the way of walking from room to room. A TV that was also situated in the middle of the room. The minimal heat was not turned on prior to my visit. I came to a cold room which took the whole night to warm the bedroom area to feel some comfort. This was the bedroom and did have some heat but no thermostat anywhere in this property.

Liked the separate entrance. The owner was very accommodating and responsive.

No free wifi or not clear instructions on how to connect to wifi. Loud neighbors (after 10pm) on a weeknight making it difficult to sleep.

Easy access to all of Toledo. Cleaner and less expensive than staying at Toledo area hotels.

Location is central to many different needs and interests. For us it was a cost effective choice close enough to Sylvania. There was something we didn’t know about the unit we reserved but they were very gracious to put us in another unit for parts of our stay. It is evident that they are constantly making more improvements to the units. Ottawa park is 2 blocks down the street with a great children’s play scape, outdoor adult fitness fixtures, a nice walking path, and a MTB trail.

Our problem was showing up with 2 SUVs. Careless spacing by other short term guest’s parking and the curb space needed for garbage pickup resulted in parking problems. Eventually we were able to work around the parking problem with the very polite cooperation of the long term tenant. Don’t assume too much negativity on the parking situation. We unexpectedly needed to return to Toledo on short notice and this was our first choice to try to make another reservation. We would stay here again. We were treated very well. If you have small cars or only one vehicle then parking will not be an issue for you.

USUALMENTE LA CLAVE ACCESO PUERTA, SE ENTREGA UN DIA ANTES DE ARRIVO, PERO AQUI NO FUE ASI, PERDIENDO MUCHO TIEMPO EN LA CALLE, CAUSANDO PREOCUPACIÓN EN LOS VECINOS, POR PERSONAS QUE ESTAN EN LA CALLE SIN RAZON ALGUNA. LA DUCHA ERA PARA MODELOS "XS".
