Old and rustic.
The beds had some mouse droppings and sawdust on them.

Great location! Clean and comfortable with thought put into the details. Very reasonable priced with a great view. Property owner was friendly and very responsive to my messages 😊
The cabin is clearly made for small groups visiting for short trips, which was perfect for us - however, the shower was far too small for even a petite-sized gal, and the locks on the doors felt a bit too old to do much in the way of safety. A few upgrades and this would be perfect!

Location was close to all the places we wanted to visit. The cabin was very clean. Comfortable for our family and had all the essentials. Loved the fire it and Peaceful atmosphere. Having the water cooler was great too.
Bathroom was very small but adequate.

We loved the charm of this cabin! It was super close to the lake and other areas we wanted to visit. The furthest drive we took was to Traverse City, and it was only about a 35-minute drive. The cabin was a small step back in time, with the luxuries of wifi. Jude was super responsive on all forms of communication, and you can tell he takes great pride in his work. On our last day, we got to stop and talk to him and learn more about the property. Our 4 year old kept saying "i love this house!" And "this house is so pretty"

One thing to note to help others who are booking, I must have missed that two of the bedrooms were upstairs. We were able to adapt, though, and our kids thought it was a blast! Another heads up is that the cabin has a shower only. This was a non-issue for us, and the kids loved the fact that they could control the shower head
