Hubstay - Blue Harmony Villa in Protaras - 5 min Walk to the Beach

The location was very good in a residential street which was very quiet. The host was extremely helpful in dealing with our small issues and very quick to respond to any queries. The pool was lovely and the grandchildren played in it most days. Nice shaded areas for sitting in around pool area also Beautiful paintings on the walls of the property and comfortable beds.

Lots of problems with ants in the house especially in the kitchen and we were very diligent with food, the ants were in the kitchen area on arrival. Lack of dishes for breakfast ie cereal bowls, only two plastic beakers and no small pots. The only pots were a large pot and a pressure cooker. On arrival the barbecue had been left full of used charcoal and there was a large brown box filled with used charcoal lying at side of house and used cigarette butts lying in the flower beds. The outside area could have been cleaned beforehand. Kitchen cupboards had a dreadful smell emanating from them so did not use them for storing food items. Kitchen utensils need’s a bit of an attention to , for the catering of six people, with the addition of more dishes, pots and carving knives. It would be helpful for first time clients visiting Cyprus (albeit we have been coming here for 25 years) to have a handbook of some kind with useful information and emergency phone numbers if required.

Very nice 3 bedroom villa, with all possible amenities.

There is a small problem with ants in the kitchen area that is manageable, but could be fixed.

The cleanliness of the villa was disappointing when we arrived. There was leftover chicken in the fridge, the floors did not appear to have been cleaned properly, and there were tissues at the bottom of the pool. I contacted the management regarding these issues, and they were helpful in offering to have the villa recleaned. We also needed some additional towels, which were provided promptly. After a few days, we discovered that neither the microwave nor the oven was working properly. Management came to check the appliances and advised us to use the oven on the grill/fan setting. This did work, although it took considerably longer to cook food. We were also told that the microwave would be replaced, but this did not happen during our stay. The most serious concern, however, was the sharp edges around the swimming pool. Both of our children injured their hands when holding onto the pool edges. Given that the pool is quite deep, children are naturally likely to hold onto the sides, so I feel this is a significant safety issue that needs to be addressed. While the management team were responsive when we raised issues, there were simply too many problems during our stay. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not stay at this villa again.
