About this villa rental
On entering the villa Tyghi you will walk through large glass doors to a cosy and welcoming living area. There is a spacious deck with a lounge and plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the pool. There is an outside bar and built-in BBQ to enjoy warm summer evenings.
The villa consists of 3 levels. On the middle floor there is a spacious living area, a dining area for 10 and a fully equipped kitchen, a veranda with a lounge corner, and an outside dining area for 10. On the lower floor there are 3 double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. On the upper floor you will find a master bedroom and a double bedroom that share one large bathroom.
The villa is situated in peaceful surroundings in the olive groves but just a 10-min walk to the lovely village of Sisi.
*By the new Greek 2024 end of resilience climate crisis law, your host will be obliged to charge you €15 per night for the climate tax fee, to be paid upon arrival by cash or card VISA/MASTER/DEBIT, depending on each villa's payment method.
*No groups under the ages of 24 years

The villa is fabulous - great location - fantastic outdoor area. The space is amazing and it’s very well equipped. The swimming pool is beautiful however the tiles around the pool are extremely slippery and one of our group had an accident which could have been very serious.
The property manager is so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond helping us organise a private chef and a boat trip.

Two families, 4 adults & 4 children – 11, 12, 2x15, fit comfortably in the 5 bedroms
Greeted by polite and informative rep.
Pool is great, 1.5m max depth. Pool area very slippery though. BBQ is outdoor dining area is really nice (firelighters essential!).
The kitchen has pretty much everything you could need, except a vacuum cleaner. Ants can be a problem if you leave food out.
TV is internet only, so prob best to take HDMI cable with your laptop.
Collection trash cart is just outside the property.
Sissi is very much a lovely quiet town. Everyone we met and spoke with in Sissi were very friendly and spoke enough English to not have any issues.
The central part of town is a ~10 min walk away where there are two small supermarkets, plus some bars and restaurants. We stayed at the villa for 10 nights and found everything we needed in these supermarkets, not needing to travel further for supplies. The nicest part of the town is the port area, which is a ~15min walk away and packed with bars and restaurants.
We dined at Queen’s Lounge, Ormos Café, Plori, Paradise Cove & Kyma. All were very good.
Crete general comments. These have been separated out because they have nothing to do with the villa but may be useful information for people considering a stay on Crete.
The plumbing is not great (the pipes are very narrow), so no one flushes toilet paper, instead every bathroom has a bin.
Visitors are advised not to drink the local water.

We had a great week in this villa, it’s lovely and modern and has everything you need, it’s spacious and has a great outdoor pool. It’s close to the harbour easily within walking distance, loved it, didn’t want to leave!
