About this house rental

A rustic-chic lakefront chalet in La Minerve, where the lake outside the big windows turns to snow and ice in winter. Spend the day snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or on the snowmobile trails, and catch the last light over the lake on your way back. Evenings mean the hot tub, the fireplace and a movie in the home theatre. Room for up to 14.

Chalet du Lac Alphonse is a rustic yet chic waterfront chalet in La Minerve, made for families and groups of up to 14.

In winter, the lake freezes over beyond the big windows. The hot tub is at its best under falling snow, and the fireplace and the home theatre make for long, cozy evenings.

From the moment you arrive, you`re welcomed into a bright open living space with cathedral ceilings and big windows over the lake. Enjoy cozy evenings by the indoor gas fireplace, movie nights in the home theatre, or a game around the pool table.

Outside
• Year-round hot tub
• A gas fire, in addition to the wood fire pit by the lake
• Private terrace with BBQ

Sleeping (up to 14)
• First floor: a bedroom with a king bed
• Mezzanine: a bedroom with two queen beds, and a bedroom with a king bed
• Garden level: a bedroom with two queen beds, and a sofa bed

Guest access
You have the whole chalet and grounds to yourselves, with direct access to the lake, your own private dock and the boats.

The neighbourhood
La Minerve is a winter playground.
• Snowmobile trails nearby
• Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing
• The Mont-Tremblant slopes, a short drive away
• Spas and outdoor wellness experiences
• Local cafés, restaurants and small-village charm

Good to know
• There`s no cell signal at the chalet, but the wifi is strong: turn on wifi calling and your phone works normally. Being this far out, the wifi can occasionally be affected by bad weather.
• The water comes from the lake and goes through our treatment system, and it`s tested twice a year. It`s perfectly safe to drink. Because it comes from nature, it can sometimes have a slight yellow tint; that`s normal and doesn`t mean it isn`t clean.
• Coffee: a filter coffee maker and a Keurig.
• Pets are welcome.
• Life in nature: depending on the season you may meet a few Asian ladybugs, have a short power cut during a storm, or find a balcony only partly cleared of snow in winter. It`s part of the charm, and someone local is always a call away.
• This is a quiet place: no parties, no music outside. There are security cameras outside only, and a NoiseAware sensor that measures sound levels without recording anything.

Québec registration number (CITQ): 303084
• No parties or events.
• No music outside; inside, keep it low enough that it can`t be heard from outdoors.
• Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. No shouting outside, especially by the lake.
• No fireworks or firecrackers on the property.
• No smoking or vaping inside.
• The chalet has a NoiseAware noise sensor (no recording) and security cameras outside only. Tampering with the sensor or repeated noise complaints: CAD 200 fee.
• Only toilet paper in the toilets.
• Hot items never directly on wood, counters or tables.
• No confetti, and please leave the furniture where it is.
• Bath towels stay inside; please bring beach towels for the lake.
• Hot tub: cover on and temperature back to 98°F after use; no food or glass around it.
• Propane valve closed after each use of the BBQ.
• Extra fees may apply for damaged towels or bedding, a hot tub that needs draining, or a chalet that needs much more cleaning than usual.
• Pets welcome: off the beds and couches, supervised outside, picked up after.
