The house is beautiful as is the pool. Pool is cold as it is further away from the water and the nights are cooler. Hearing the howling monkeys early in the morning was amazing. They didn’t wake us. We are just early birds. The construction next door would’ve been nice to know about. Definitely felt a lack of privacy due to that and due to the cameras ALL over the backyard (4 seen). A bit excessive for my liking and felt a bit intrusive to be honest. Safety is one thing…I get that. It was hard to really relax with that around. The house has everything you need! TVs are great!! Water temp was not very warm… loved having laundry accessible. The property itself feels very isolated if you like that… about 20-30 minutes to beaches. Honestly- probably amazing for big groups. It was just the 2 of us though. About 10-20 minutes depending what route you take- of dirt roads to get there. And the driveway itself is pretty steep but likely very typical for most Costa Rican properties. Make sure to check out Santa Rosa. It’s a cute place with essentials and an ice cream shop. Also probably the easier route to get there as well. I didn’t get much for recommendations or anything from the host which was fine. We also didn’t ask. So- all in all- great place. Away from everything. Everything you need for cooking and entertaining. Cooler pool. Lots of cameras.

Beautiful home. Very modern and spotless with all amenities you can ask for, including everything you need for cooking your own meals, laundry facilities, free wifii and aircon. The pool was lovely, well maintained and perfect for cooling off in the heat. Also had a nice outdoor patio as well as a balcony off the master bedroom. The area is quiet and out of the way with good security. You can hear howler monkeys and birds when you wake up in the morning. Within a half hour drive to all the major beaches in the area. 5 minutes from the town of santa rosa where you can get some hot food and icecream. Can be a bit hard to find for the first time at night so better to locate during the day and a 4x4 is recommended due to having to travel on dirt roads for a short distance. Be careful in this area when using google maps and stick to the highways as much as possible as google will often try to shortcut you through impassable roads where you could get stuck. Overall this place is well worth the price. Would recommend.
