Experience living in a rare historic landmark. Huge building with original 14 rooms, but only 5 bedrooms are set up for guests stay. Full Kitchen, a kitchen bar, and dining hall. Located in a peaceful, safe, and well populated rural area. Half a block from the river that connects to Sacramento. Fishing, jet skiing and boating activities available at the River. Easy walk to downtown and neighboring Locke District. Easy drive to Sky River Casino in Elk Grove. Enjoy farmlands and old houses scene as in a Hollywood movies.

We used this property for an extended property gathering. It has TONS of space and comfortable rooms. The bathrooms and kitchens (yes kitchens!) were nicely equipped. There is no tv - which worked out ideally for our family. We did puzzles and boardgames as a family and all - even the younger kids - had a fantastic time. Easy to get in and out, nicely located in town - close to stores and restaurants. Owner was super easy to work with, and responded to every question quickly. Awesome place for a larger family getaway.

We were a group of five (turned out to be 4) so we needed a large place. Walnut Grove was a perfect location for us. This is a historic building right in town. It looks like it was once a boarding house with plenty of bedrooms bath and kitchens. It has its historic age which is part of the charm.
