Welcome to The Habor Hideaway in the heart of Fox Lake! Discover nautical charm in this newly remodeled 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom vacation rental in the heart of Fox Lake, Illinois. Every bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom for the ulitimate privacy! Perfectly positioned on the channelfront to Mineola Bay, this stylish waterfront home offers modern decor and luxury finishes. Enjoy the spacious, private fenced backyard featuring a firepit, gas grill, stunning deck, and your own pier. Whether you’re relaxing on the deck or exploring the bay, this retreat is your ideal adult getaway for comfort and elegance by the water. We just added a new hot tub to enjoy in the back yard under the gazebo.

This 1,300 square foot vacation home is nested on a .5 acre of waterfront property. The water is just steps away from the back of the house with your own private pier and backyard. This house is minutes from all enjoyment on the famous Chain O` Lakes.
The main house is a 3 bedroom / 3.5 bathroom house. The patio area is feet away from the waterfront, and an amazing balcony rests on the next level above the water.
Guests will be able to access all parts of the house, yard and garage. The only inaccessible parts of the house are the large storage garage and the utility closet in the basement.
Want some beach time? This property is in an HOA with a private beach on the Bay just a walk away. (Guest Pass required and included in your stay)
Need a boat ramp and slip for your stay? No Problem, we have a boat ramp right next door at Jays Clubhouse, and this property has 1 private slip. We would not recommend any boats above 24`-25`. (Note - Its a narrow boat ramp, good enough for experienced boaters, but risky for inexperienced dockers.)
To drop your watercraft, you can also use the Chain O Lakes State Park ramp, or use local marina ramps for a small fee (recommended).
There is a door camera on the main entry door for your safety and security. There is also a Decibel meter on the property to help keep noise levels under local ordinance levels and keep the neighbors happy.
All communications is through the Vacation Rental platform App. We do have an emergency # on site in the welcome book for the Prperty Managers.
Bring your fishing gear. There is good fishing in Mineola Bay and in channels. Our kids catch large bass, catfish, bluegill and perch right off our pier in the back yard.
This is a popular house for Naval families to visit and cheer on their boot camp grads since it is only a half hour from the Great Lakes Naval base.
This home is designed safe and secure, and is equipped with a Smart Dead Bolt lock that controls check in and check out times, and has a door camera feature to make sure the correct guests are entering our home. All for your safety and to protect our home.
(Winter Alert - Outdoor amenities will be limited in the winter obviously. All of the lawn furniture will have seasonal covers on them, the grill will be covered.)

Fox Lake is located in Lake County, IL, a vibrant county nestled along 25 miles of shorline of Lake Michigan on its eastern border and the state of Wisconsin along its northern border. Lake County offers a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts, with nearly 31,000 acres to explore in 65 different forests preserves. There are 170 lakes in the County in whole, thus the name `Lake County`. This is a golfers paradise with 46 golf courses to enjoy. Lake County is a happening place with theme parks, water parks, a 2-mile long mall, dozens of historic downtown areas, and so much more.

We had the most fabulous time. The interior and exterior of the property were beautiful and very well kept. We used the kayaks everyday and it was so much fun looking at the different houses on the channels. I would go back every year.

The house was very clean and well laid out. Having en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom was amazing. Any amenity we needed was available. The living room tv did not have a remote but I was able to download a remote app to use. The management did offer to bring another remote over but we declined. It wasn’t a big deal. The hot tub is probably the only full functioning hot tub we have ever experienced at a VRBO! So big props for the hot tub! It was definitely a highlight for the property. We also thoroughly enjoyed the natural gas firepit. I must note that this property shares a lot and parking lot with an extremely loud bar just feet from the house. Loud music and shouting were heard each night until at least midnight yet we found it a bit laughable that the management mentions in numerous places about a city decibel level warning and that our decibel level was being recorded. So we were quiet but sleeping was for sure a challenge with this property and the bar feet from the house is not mentioned in the listing and after the loud music and noise every night you should be told about this in the property listing
