Overshot is a beautiful historic building with a fabulous garden, full of character and charm.
We stayed as an extended family for a long weekend and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The living/dining room was gorgeous and easily big enough for our group of 8.
The younger (and young at heart!) members of the family loved the pool table and games room with the retro games machine.
The kitchen was really well equipped with all the mod cons, including 2 fridges and 2 cookers, whilst still keeping the original 1930s cabinets, which were stunning.
The bedrooms are huge and tastefully decorated, with lots of lovely period features, and the bathrooms were spacious with towels and toiletries provided.
Check-in was easy and communication with the host, Ruth, was great throughout.
We especially loved the history and architecture of the building — it really is a unique home. We’d highly recommend it, especially for anyone who enjoys historic properties and interesting architecture.
Nothing - the property is beautiful and so close to Oxford City Centre.
