Farish Self Catering

Farish è un appartamento PAZZESCO, enorme! Con un bagno invidiabile e soprattutto ESTREMAMENTE PULITO, ogni giorno ti puliscono la camera ed è talmente pulito che potresti mangiarci per terra! Bellissimo il terrazzino e personale estremamente GENTILE. Il primo giorno abbiamo fatto cadere il doccino e l’hanno subito sistemato senza costi aggiuntivi. Bravissime le ragazze, gentili e posizione top, vicina al centro di cote d’or, di giorno mare fantastico e di sera potete andare direttamente nel takeaway più vicino per fare amicizia con i local (tutto a 3 minuti a piedi)

The Guest House is walking distance ( 4 minutes) from Cote d'Or Beach, which is a great advantage. Moreover, it is just 8-10 minutes (walking) from some top class restaurants, as well as a coffeeshop and take-away van. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and this made our stay a very pleasant experience. It is a new establishment and the equipment and furnishings are of an excellent standard. A very good experience. Will return to Farish Self-Catering, when staying on Praslin in future.

Let’s start with the positives ….. The hosts were very welcoming, and very helpful in making us feel at home. The apartment was clean, comfy and had more than enough space. The shower was nice and powerful and the air con/fan were good.

Don’t be fooled, this place is in a run down local neighbourhood and the first 2 nights were very loud due to the local residents having a bloc party until the early hours - not a problem as we aren’t early sleepers but was quite imposing. The road that the property is located on is half built and very desolate. The area, cote D’or/ anse volbert was rather underwhelming and is quite dirty, although I guess that’s typical of the area generally. The apartment, whilst clean had a very strong smell of disinfectant coming from the bathroom…. I think that is because they have chemical toilets but it was quite overpowering the first few days we were there. The bedsheets were also Nilon which gave you static and caused shocks when you touched anything metal. Also, the pictures of the apartment are definitely better than what you experience - the pictures are from the bottom floor apartment and show full sun loungers. This is not the case for the rest of the rooms which has a small balcony and not a lot of space. Overall, a pleasant stay but very basic and an underwhelming experience of Cote D’Or - the trips we made around the island made up for the experience.
