Beachfront Unit with Stunning Sunsets and Starlink Internet !

The property is ideally located in the heart of the village, within walking distance of everything. The host who welcomed us was very polite, assisted us with our luggage, and was highly responsive.

What I disliked was being informed on the same day of my arrival that, as is apparently common in Las Terrenas, electricity would be charged separately and invoiced at the end of the stay. I can understand this for mid- or long-term rentals, but not for a short stay of just three nights. Having visited Las Terrenas several times over the past three years (always for short stays) I found this unusual, as neither I nor my Dominican friend, who frequently rents for a few nights at a time, has ever been asked to pay for electricity separately. I therefore contacted Booking.com to understand how to proceed, since I made the reservation through them. In addition, the internet was not working on the first day and required replacing the device. Following this, they offered to waive the electricity charge, but this did not feel like a reasonable resolution, as I did not intend to pay for something that was not disclosed in the original booking terms and especially since the payment was requested in cash. Finally, the property itself would benefit from some improvements and a deep cleaning, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. The shower curtain, in particular, was quite dirty, and replacing it would be a simple but important upgrade that would greatly improve the overall bathroom experience.

Tout était parfait: l'appartement en lui même, avec les équipements qu'il faut (serviettes, literie, ustensiles de cuisines, disponibilitédes hôtes,...), la vue, l'emplacement en face mer. Nous avons passé un séjour comme souhaité, & même bien mieux que nous le pensions! Je recommande à 100% cet appartement, sans hésitation!

The apartment needs updating! It’s such a great location but the owners need to invest in basic routine deep cleaning and conditioning. The grout on the floors and bathrooms are in dire need of updating, the Italian coffee machine’s handle was burnt and the electric coffee machine was dirty inside. The furniture in the living room could be changed…even the sofa cushions are outdated and dirty. The chairs on the balcony need to be replaced because the wicker is falling apart.
