About this country house rental

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and one-of-a-kind. This is the oldest house in Glastonbury (built by John Hollister in 1675) & 1 of the oldest houses in CT. Our quaint home is located on our working farm that’s been in business for over 130 years - Killam & Bassette Farmstead. Take in a scenic stroll around the fields all the way to the CT River. Perfect for a bachelorette weekend, a large family vacation, or just a quiet getaway. Relax & enjoy!

It was a great house . Very roomy and such a nice perk to have fresh eggs from the farm. It snowed the last night we were there but they plowed the entire driveway for us that am . The also let us check in early with our toddler . Close to town and two great restaurants in walking distance ( Sayulitas and Hopewell). We will definitely be back when visiting family . Thanks again

Great house and farm! Perfect place for our Thanksgiving. The host was accommodating and the house/kitchen is very well provisioned. Also, jams are delicious!

Fantastic spot! The location was perfect with just a short drive to attend our conference in Hartford each day. We loved having so much space and the history of the house.

This is a perfect spot to stay and explore around Hartford. We loved experiencing a house built in 1675. The owners have made sure the home is comfortable in every way, from the comfy beds and immaculately clean bathrooms to the homemade jams in the kitchen. Treat yourself!
