Casa Cadu - Porto

The location was great. It isn’t in the centre. It is in a residential area but we were happy to be away from the hustle and bustle. It took us only about 20 minutes to walk to the centre but there is also a metro station just round the corner. There are interesting areas of Porto whichever direction you walk in. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed for a few nights.

The devices meant to keep the blinds open don’t really work so it was hard to get any natural light. A few more basics in the kitchen would have been nice- a tea towel, some detergent for the washing machine etc. These are not things anyone tends to travel with.

Really good location, decent size space, quite quirky and very different from staying in a hotel. It was also much cheaper! I was very pleased with the price paid considering we stayed in mid August. There are shops and restaurants a short walk away, with a good sized supermarket less than 10 minutes. The city centre is also accessible by foot although Ubers are very cheap and a good way to get around the city. Everything was nice and easy, the accommodation was clean and homely. Kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you would need for self-catering. Really pleased with our stay and would recommend. The photos give a good representation of what it truly looks like although doesn't fully capture the charm of the location, set on a steep hill in a cobbled street. This gave a more authentic feel and that you were more a part of the local culture.

Good location with excellent local shops and a 20 minute walk to town. Cheap and excellent value.

Parte superior amplia. Aparcamiento gratis en zona azul el sábado y domingo, al lado donde la iglesia.

La zona no nos gustó nada, está muy lejos del centro. Hay que coger metro (está cerca la parada). No os metáis con el coche por donde manda el GPS, es una calle empedrada con muy poco acceso y cuestas enormes, entramos y casi no salimos. El apartamento está en un barrio un poco desangelado, por dentro no está mal, pero bueno, podría estar mejor. La nevera están sucia y olía mal, el baño pequeño y detalles descuidados, la escalera es peligrosa, hay que tener cuidado con la cabeza. El sofá sucio…. y no hay persianas. Sin más… para un día está decente, para mucho más no lo recomiendo.
