The stay itself was pleasant but the host company are basically scammers on booking.com by misleading people like that i
We liked the peace and quiet. The facilities are modern and it’s tastefully decorated.
I did not like that when I booked on Booking.com it gave a price but after paying it I was expecting to pay an additional €60 for cleaning fees to the host company but that was actually €256 (that had not been stated at the time of booking) and if I didn’t pay it I would loose the €236 I had paid. I found this dishonest and extremely upsetting and it caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. We did not receive any email explaining where the keys would be or giving the code for the lock box which caused confusion and more stress on arrival. It is also a bit silly that when checking out and after leaving the premises in the car you need the fob to exit but then we have to go back to put the fob in the lock box walking. There were no bins to leave the rubbish in outside so we had to take it with us. There was no tea towel, there was no cloth to clean the surfaces, there was no washing up liquid. There was no full length mirror.

A great base for exploring.
A peaceful location and a well presented, clean and inviting, comfortable chalet. Some great towns nearby, The owners really do seem to want others to experience what they are lucky enough to experience with a lovely base in a lovely part of the Netherlands. Would we stay again? Absolutely, already thinking of going back in April to go back to Efteling theme park (in my opinion one of the world's best.).
