Ocean - Volcano House

Die Lage ist phänomenal. Die Betten sind gut, Handtücher etc. reichlich. Insgesamt viel Platz, sehr schönes Wohnzimmer, mit Super-Aussicht. Warmwasserversorgung / Dusche hat gut funktioniert. Die Informationen im Vorfeld waren hilfreich und kamen rechtzeitig.

Wer auf Internet-Verbindung angewiesen ist, sollte nicht in das Haus gehen. Es war alles extrem instabil, die Verbindung schwach, w-lan hat auch nicht zuverlässig funktioniert. Alicia hat sich zwar prompt darum gekümmert, aber es hat immer einige Zeit gedauert, bis das Problem gelöst war. Die Küchenausstattung könnte etwas umfassender sein. Da das Wetter während des Aufenthaltes tw. recht kalt war, waren wir auf die kleine Heizung angewiesen. Der Wechsel der Gasflaschen war tw. verzögert, sodass wir vor allem in einigen Nächten gefroren haben. Ein Regal im Bad ist total verrostet und es gibt sehr wenig Fläche, um etwas abzulegen.

The house has a good vibe, and insanely beautiful views. The beds are super comfy. Beautiful outdoor space. The bathrobes and slippers provided in the bedrooms were a nice touch. Walking to Los Cocoteros is fun and the path is beautiful and easy. You can have a nice swim there. Make sure to arrive at the house for the first time before the sun goes down: finding the house in the dark is probably difficult (the road to the house is not paved and not great, but easy to navigate during daylight).

The wifi was extremely spotty, I did not mind but my other family members really did. Hot water comes from a sun-boiler, I guess, which meant cold showers in the morning if the children take a bath in the evening after sundown. The amount of cutlery and cups/ glasses was not sufficient. There were only 3 full size forks, so every meal we had a discussion as to who would use the tiny fork (always me, somehow). I did manage to confiscate one of the 3 cups for my tea, but obviously this meant that we could never have our cup of tea/ coffee all at the same time. Also, there is little use to have a full size dishwasher if you have to wash the dishes after each meal. The rules also seemed to indicate that we could not run the dishwasher after sundown, but waiting until the next day after we had dinner meant no cutlery, glasses or cups at breakfast, so the choice was to ignore the rules and run a half empty dishwasher illegally or wash by hand (never our hobby during our holiday which is why I booked a place with a dishwasher). The bathroom was a bit shabby, with a rusty bath. You cannot flush used toilet paper, which always feels a bit gross to me. Overall, this is a place you should go to for the beautiful views (sunrise, sunset, ocean views during the days, starry skies at night), if you are traveling with people that do not care much about hot water and trustworthy wifi, and if you do not mind washing dishes and tossing your soiled toiletpaper in a bin.

Bella location, attenzione alle regole sull utilizzo del bagno Se cercate un posto tranquillo, silenzioso, isolato e fuori dal caos, questo è il posto per voi. Premetto che la casa è carina, funzionale, abbastanza curata (a parte il bagno che richiederebbe alcuni interventi) e noi, come location isolata (zona piuttosto ventilata), siamo state molto bene.

Regole sull utilizzo del bagno non espresse anticipatamente Se cercate un posto dove poter gettare la carta igienica nel water, sappiate che la proprietà ha deciso che a casa sua questo è vietato (con tanto di cartello sopra al wc. Vedi foto) e il vostro “profumato “ sacchettino potrete gettarlo nei bidoni della spazzatura che si trovano a 1,5 km da casa. Dover rispettare questa regola ci ha creato parecchio disagio. La proprietaria, dai modi sgarbati e scorretti, è confusa circa la differenza tra “usanza” e “ legge” e, fattole notate che se per lei è importante questa regola, per correttezza nei confronti del consumatore, dovrebbe segnalarla nel regolamento, ha sostenuto che è la regola di tutta l isola e che siamo noi che dovevamo informarci! In realtà, in tutti gli altri hotel, b&b, bar, ristoranti e persino “teleclub” (locali socio-culturali tipici e storici) non abbiamo mai trovato il cartello che lei ha appeso sopra il wc. Controllate voi stessi su internet e troverete che a Lanzarote (Spagna/Europa) non esiste questa legge igienica. Semplicemente, i locali con impianti vecchi utilizzano questo sistema per precauzione . Pertanto , non averlo segnalato anticipatamente e sostenere che è regola comune a tutta l isola è molto scorretto e mi sembra doveroso segnalarlo in modo tale che i futuri clienti sappiano anticipatamente di dover rispettare questa regola della casa.

Tutto, posizione, spazi ampi, vista bellissima, dotazioni della casa.

Unica pecca ci vorrebbe un tavolo fuori per poter pranzare e cenare nel Patio e uno stendino a uso esclusivo della casa per far asciugare i costumi e teli.
