Lovely cottage, lovely setting, good price, very friendly owner

Quiet location but not far from main roads Very well rennovated cottage in lovely grounds of the main house Very clean, very comfortable. Large kitchen - no breakfast, but all the essential needs met. Very friendly owner, excellent information provided (including how to find the cottage, since it is out of the way). Lovely setting to sit outside for breakfast (weather permitting...) Some unusual wood artefacts! Very easy check-in and out.

Beautiful property, wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Beautiful property in a lovely, quaint little village. Set in a picturesque courtyard from main house. The property is outstanding. Exceptionally clean and maintained to a very high standard. The sofas are the most comfortable we have ever sat on. Furnished beautifully. Huge bed with quality bedding. Kitchen has everything you would need, unfortunately we didn’t stay long enough to use. We will definitely return when in area again! Ian & Sonia were great hosts, great communication and directions.

That we only got to stay 1 night due to attending a family event in the area.

Truly perfect

Absolutely stunning accommodation and grounds, loved everything about it! Extremely comfortable bed, 3 lovely sleeps 🥰 gorgeous bathroom and kitchen and 3 of the coolest clocks I’ve ever seen!! Extremely high quality throughout and the living room is just perfect. I didn’t want to leave.

Fabulous family-run farmhouse

We stayed here for a wedding at the nearby Brympton House and found it to be the perfect location, an easy and pleasant walk away. Ian and Sonia were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The property is full of charm, tucked away in a peaceful and quiet setting. We really enjoyed having access to the tennis courts, and were especially impressed by how spacious the place felt for just two people. The shower had excellent water pressure, the bed was very comfortable, and there were lovely touches throughout. Keep an eye out for the amazing collection of restored clocks that Ian has brought back to life, such a unique and personal detail!

Excellent facilities and very clean

Attention to detail from all aspects of self catering were covered and the hosts were extremely nice and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend The Cowshed to anyone.

Absolutely lovely place to stay, exceptional amount of care taken on making this place so special.

I wish that I could give this better than exceptional. Ian was a fantastic host, left us to it but let us know he was there if we needed anything. The location, for us, was perfect, the local pub was a stone throw away and we went there for a really nice meal in the evening. The village is lovely. In terms of the accommodation, I really enjoyed reading up about the history of the Cow Shed and the journey that Ian went on in renovating it and turning it into a place to stay. The level of care and detail that has gone into design is second to none. The bath was incredible, the bed was gigantic (I'm 6 ft 4 and had plenty of spare room!) and the couches in the lounge were so comfy. It is the most peaceful place, we sat reading our books in the morning in the lounge and it was absolute bliss. 10 out of 10 and we will 100% be coming back again. Looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the tennis courts and to have a glass of wine in the lovely gardens! Really good value for money!

Een zeer mooie cottage op een rustige plek, bij prachtig tuinen en op 40 minuten rijden charmante kustplaatsjes.

Het huis is zeer comfortabel met een zalig breed bed en een goed geoutilleerde keuken. Het is er prettig rustig. De gastvrouw en heer waren zeer vriendelijk, attent en behulpzaam.
