Uschie is a wonderful host. There is a lot of space - two bedrooms, one kitchen, one living room and a two level terrace. You basically had everything that you need - from oil and salt to appliances to make a cake. She thought of everything, of the every little detail - you had recommendations, directions for things around, board games, books. Basically you can spend just a weekend chilling at the house. And if you have nice weather the terrace is wonderful. You can see Teide from here in some mornings and the sea on the other side. And you have all the privacy. The living room is very nice and felt very cozy, we enjoyed watching movies in the evening. Everything was clean! If you need an escapade in a mountain village this place is for you. We traveled in the north of Tenerife those days so it was not far from the destinations. Although bear in mind you have to go quite high in the mountains to reach it (although around 6 min down to the main road).

It really depends on what you want. If you want an escapade in a mountain village, so that it’s calm and you enjoy the terrace, admire the views, or watch movies cozily in the evening, or cook something - this place is for you. However if you want something more lively with restaurants and bars around perhaps this is too calm. There were a couple of local bars around - but it’s not a city, it’s more of a village. Which I enjoyed - we went for breakfast to a local bar, and evenings we spent at home. So it really depends on what you are looking for. And it depends on weather too cause in the north if you have rain and it’s cold you can’t use much the terrace too and it’s a different experience.
