Suite Stay Penthouse is a rare top-floor residence at the Westin Monache, offering elevated privacy, exceptional natural light, and sweeping views across Mammoth’s most iconic landscapes—from the Sherwins to Lincoln Mountain and Mammoth Rock.
One of only a few penthouse-level homes in the building, the space feels distinctly removed from typical hotel-style units. Its quiet corner position and three private balconies create a calm, light-filled retreat above the energy of the Village below.
Inside, the home is thoughtfully designed for both comfort and function. Two king bedrooms, each with Westin Heavenly® beds, are paired with a queen sleeper sofa in the living area—comfortably accommodating families or small groups. The living space is anchored by a fireplace and framed by wide mountain views, while the rare full kitchen (uncommon at the Monache) allows for relaxed meals at home.
Large south- and west-facing windows fill the penthouse with warm light throughout the day, while the balconies offer space to step outside for morning coffee, après-ski, or quiet evenings overlooking the alpine landscape.
The location places you directly at Mammoth’s central hub. The Village, with its restaurants, shops, and year-round events, is just outside the door. The Village Gondola, located across the street, provides direct access to Canyon Lodge skiing in winter and scenic access in summer.
Guests also enjoy access to a private owner ski locker at Canyon Lodge, allowing you to store skis and boards right at the mountain—an uncommon convenience that makes ski days significantly easier.

Renovations Update: The Westin Monache is currently completing a series of lobby and common-area improvements. Work will occur in phases over the coming months, including updates to the lobby, main entrance, and restaurant.
Suite Stay is located high in the building, and far from the renovated areas, so we do not anticipate renovation noise affecting this home.
The on-site restaurant is expected to close temporarily for renovation during September. The coffee bar will remain open throughout the project, and all other Westin amenities—including the pool, hot tubs, fitness center —are expected to remain available.

This place is nothing short of fabulous. The space is welcoming with a wonderful view of the mountains, there is a large sofa which folds out into a bed, a fireplace and full kitchen. There are two bedrooms with very comfortable king sized beds and two bathrooms. The hotel is in a prime position in the village so everything is walkable once you’re there. The accommodation also provides a ski locker at Canyon lodge so you don’t even have to worry about carrying equipment back and forth on the gondola. The hosts are extremely good about answering any questions quickly. We had such a great vacation here, thank you!!

My family had a wonderful stay at the Westin Monache Suites. The location was incredibly quiet, offering peaceful surroundings and stunning views that made our trip even more special. The unit was beautifully updated and modern, providing all the comforts we needed. The owners were very responsive and accommodating, making check-in and check-out process smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!
