Welcome to our tranquil getaway in Martindale, TX, nestled along the beautiful San Marcos River. This modern retreat offers the perfect riverside escape, just minutes from San Marcos and Lockhart, and a short drive from Austin and San Antonio.
The space
The river house is modern yet cozy, with an open living area that invites in plenty of natural light and offers beautiful views of the lush backyard—ideal for spotting wildlife. Inside, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay, from the spacious dining table for family meals to the cozy breakfast nook perfect for lazy mornings or late-night card games. The kitchen is fully equipped, and laundry facilities are available for your convenience. With three bedrooms and a bunk room complete with a TV, there's plenty of space for everyone to unwind and relax. Outside, the large backyard provides ample opportunities for outdoor fun, including dining under the stars, gathering around the fire pit, or simply lounging in one of the many seating areas or deck overlooking the river. In general, better than good. It felt like a home not a rental. When the owner trusts the renter, the renter respects the property. Too many emails from VRBO. The most important info was front door key code and emails were too ‘busy’ to figure it out. Neighborhood is funky but this is definitely the best property there.

We had a fantastic time. We love the spaciousness of the home and how everyone had their own bed. The natural light of the home was refreshing. The home is well stocked with kitchen supplies you would need to cook your food. Ample towels for everyone. If you are arriving to the property at night be aware it is dark and not much for lights to find the drive way. Just look for the drive way just past the red fire hydrant:-)The river access from the property is awesome. Loved being able to just walk down and relax. Thank you for opening your open to our family. We will for sure come back
