Portofino Coastal Retreat

It was very spacious and family friendly with all the necessities for a comfortable stay (including items for baby - eg high chair, bath, baby bowls and spoons). Great location, places for meals and sightseeing within walking distance.

An extra set of keys and fob would have been handy.

Location and size.

Ensuite bathroom mouldy and fan useless. Also the fact that we arrived in Cairns 9.30 am from an early flight from Adelaide, messaged to see if we could get in early. No reply. We got in at 15.30. Very tired and grumpy.

The location was excellent. The kitchen and living areas had everything required and were very clean. All linen provided - towels, sheets, pillows were of good quality and the hand soaps, shampoo & conditioner in the bathrooms were lovely to use. The unit was family friendly

The remote (fob) to open the car park gate was missing so I couldn't use the car parking space. The host tried to resolve this issue but couldn't get a replacement fob during my stay. This meant I didn't hire a car during my stay which was inconvenient as I was reluctant to park a hire car in a public unsecure site. The couch in the lounge area was stained and needs cleaning or replacing. The main bathroom cupboards also need repairing or replacing. Out door gardens and indoor plants need attention - very dry. Outdoor patio had dried leaves piled in the corners - needed to be tidied and carried away.

The space, the decoration of the place the balcony to entertain family and friends. The host was excellent and understanding and that amenities where attended to immediately.

The fact that the beds weren’t made, dirty towels on the bathroom floor, rubbish full in the kitchen , dirty pot in the fridge, no toilet paper, gas bottle empty and dirty rubbish on the balcony
